Justice (Northern Ireland) Bill — Clause 20 — Judicial oath or affirmation — 4 Mar 2002 at 20:30
Mr Kenneth Clarke MP, Rushcliffe voted in the minority (Aye).
I beg to move amendment No. 45, in page 13, line 22, leave out from "either" to end of line 34 and insert-
'take the oath of allegiance and the judicial oath or make the appropriate affirmation.'.
Question put, That the amendment be made:-
The House divided: Ayes 137, Noes 311.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (No)||Minority (Aye)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||0||126 (+2 tell)||0||78.0%|
|Lab||284 (+2 tell)||0||0||69.8%|
