European Parliamentary and Local Elections (Pilots) Bill — Clause 1 — Piloting conduct at european and local elections — 16 Dec 2003 at 17:30
John Prescott MP, Kingston upon Hull East voted with the majority (No).
I beg to move amendment No. 8, in page 1, line 4, after 'must', insert-
', if a three-quarters majority of the local authorities in the area covered by the pilot agree,'.
Question put, That the amendment be made:-
The House divided: Ayes 135, Noes 357.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (No)||Minority (Aye)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||0||130 (+2 tell)||0||81.0%|
|Independent Ulster Unionist||0||2||0||66.7%|
|Lab||300 (+2 tell)||0||0||74.0%|
