Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Bill — Clause 8 — Exclusive licence — 2 Feb 2004 at 17:15
George Osborne MP, Tatton voted in the minority (Aye).
I beg to move amendment No. 11, in page 5, line 7, at end insert-
'(1A) The exclusive licence shall, unless revoked under subsection (6), have effect for the period of seven years beginning with the date of issue.'.
The House having divided: Ayes 136, Noes 285.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (No)||Minority (Aye)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||0||103 (+2 tell)||0||64.4%|
|Lab||285 (+2 tell)||0||0||70.3%|
