Installation of a Security Screen in the House of Commons Chamber — 22 Apr 2004 at 16:15

The majority of MPs voted in favour of installing a security screen separating the public gallery from the House of Commons Chamber.

MPs were considering a motion that:

  • That this House
  • approves the installation of a permanent security screen between the Chamber and the Strangers' Gallery.

The motion which was the subject of this vote was on the following amendment:

  • leave out "approves" and insert "declines to approve".
