Finance Bill — [1st Allotted Day] — Clause 28 — The Non-Corporate Distribution Rate — 27 Apr 2004 at 18:30
Mr David Ruffley MP, Bury St Edmunds voted in the minority (Teller for the Noes).
I beg to move amendment No. 3, in page 22, line 26, insert 'and-
(c) the company does not retain at least £10,000 of its distributable profits for the period.'.
Question put, That the clause stand part of the Bill:-
The Committee divided: Ayes 280, Noes 186.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (Aye)||Minority (No)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||0||122 (+2 tell)||0||76.1%|
|Lab||280 (+2 tell)||0||0||69.1%|
