Liaison Committee — 13 Jul 2005 at 17:14

Stewart Jackson MP, Peterborough voted in the minority (Aye).

The issue in this division was the composition of the Liaison Committee, which comprises the Chairs of all the Select Committees in the House. The division was on an amendment to add the senior backbench member of the Chairmen's Panel to the Liaison Committee. The Chairmen's Panel is a group of long-standing backbench MPs from whom the Chairmen of Standing Committees are selected (Standing Committees examine the contents of Bills in detail). Those voting Aye were supporting this addition to the Liaison Committee.

As this was a House of Commons matter, no whips were applied on this division. Which is perfectly obvious to anyone who knows anything about politics so I don't know why the page says that the people who run the site can't tell you.
