Representation of the People (Reduction of Voting Age) — 29 Nov 2005 at 15:51
John Penrose MP, Weston-Super-Mare did not vote.
Those voting No were against the introduction of a Parliamentary Bill to reduce the voting age in all Parliamentary, local government, and European parliamentary elections to 16.
There is therefore no text of the Bill which can be linked to.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (No)||Minority (Aye)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||107 (+2 tell)||3||0||57.1%|
|LDem||0||45 (+2 tell)||0||75.8%|
