Northern Ireland (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill — Clause 3 — Timing of canvass — 19 Apr 2006 at 16:15
John Penrose MP, Weston-Super-Mare voted in the minority (Aye).
I beg to move amendment No. 13, in clause 3, page 2, line 37, at end insert-
'(2A) For the purposes of subsection (2) the "public interest" is the requirement to meet the "relevant registration objectives" as set out in section 4.'.
Question put, That the amendment be made:-
The Committee divided: Ayes 208, Noes 298.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (No)||Minority (Aye)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||0||146 (+2 tell)||0||75.5%|
|Lab||298 (+2 tell)||0||0||85.0%|
