European Community Documents — Funding of European political parties — 12 Dec 2007 at 19:05
Paul Murphy MP, Torfaen voted with the majority (Aye).
The majority Aye voters successfully carried the motion that the Government should support the adoption of a European draft regulation:
- 'governing political parties at European level and the rules regarding their funding.'
These regulations are symbolic in that they legitimise the idea of pan-European political parties and that a European body is needed to set rules on how they operate.
