Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill — Animal DNA may be inserted into an embryo — 19 May 2008 at 18:30

The majority of MPs voted to keep one of the five definitions of a human admixed embryo, as being:[1]

  • A human embryo that has been altered by the introduction of any sequence of nuclear or mitochondrial DNA of an animal into one or more cells of the embryo

for the purposes of granting licenses[2] to create such entities.
