The majority of MPs voted to pass the Immigration (Biometric Registration) Regulations 2008 which sets out, under the UK Borders Act 2007, which categories of visitors must be issued with a biometric immigration document.
This order revoked the Biometric registration of immigrants - Pilot regulations, which MPs voted in favour of on 23 April 2008
Between the two divisions, four members of the DUP switched their vote.
