Stewart Jackson MP, Peterborough voted against requiring Academy Schools to comply with legislation on pupil exclusions and behaviour partnerships which would otherwise not apply to them.

The majority of MPs rejected a proposal to require Academy Schools to comply with legislation on pupil exclusions and behaviour partnerships which would otherwise not apply to them.

The text of the defeated amendment read:

  • page 2, line 8, at end insert-
  • (e) the school complies with provisions on pupil exclusions and behaviour partnerships as set out in EA 2002, EIA 2006 and ASCLA 2009.
