Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill — Clause 2 — Entitlement to vote in the referendum — 18 Oct 2010 at 20:45

The majority of MPs voted against allowing British citizens living outside the United Kingdom to vote in the referendum on the electoral system for the house of commons.

Conservative MP Graham Brady tabled the amendment to insert the following on page 2, line 19[1] of the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill[2], the section of the Bill which lists who is eligible to vote:
