The House of Lords was considering the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill[1]. The motion rejected in this vote was:

  • Amendment 27GA : Clause 12, line 11, leave out "12" and insert "6"

The section of the Bill affected stated:

  • that representations with respect to the proposed recommendations may be made to the Commission during a specified period of 12 weeks;

this relates to the consultation period for proposed new parliamentary constituency boundaries.
