Financial Services (Regulation of Derivatives) — New Clause 9 — Rail passenger services — 15 Mar 2011 at 19:30
Phillip Lee MP, Bracknell voted with the majority (No).
I beg to move, That the clause be read a Second time.
I am obviously delighted to see that so many Members on both sides of the House take such a passionate and keen interest in Scotland’s railway services. We have had a great deal of support for the measure from the trade unions in Scotland. This is a simple, technical new clause. Most people think that the Scottish Parliament already has the ability to decide what the model of the franchise will be, and I am keen that the situation should be resolved-<[/i> Interruption. ]
Question put, That the clause be read a Second time.
The Committee divided:
Ayes 172, Noes 293.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (No)||Minority (Aye)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||252 (+2 tell)||0||0||83.0%|
|Lab||0||161 (+2 tell)||0||63.2%|
