Stewart Jackson MP, Peterborough voted against introducing a new type of fixed term tenancies called flexible tenancies.

The majority of MPs voted to introduce a new type of fixed term tenancies called flexible tenancies.

MPs were considering the Localism Bill[1]. The amendment rejected in this vote was:

  • Amendment: 13, page 114, line 36, leave out clause 130.

Clause 130[2] which was retained in the Bill following this vote was titled Flexible tenancies and provided a type of tenancy called a flexible tenancy which is a secure tenancy of a fixed term (not less than two years).
