Local Government Finance Bill — Clause 16 — Extent and short title — 21 May 2012 at 21:41
I beg to move, That the Bill be now read the Third time.
This is a bit like coming out in the play-off final after the brief half-time break at Wembley on Saturday. We just need a little bit more to close the deal as far as this Bill is concerned-<[/i> Interruption. ] It did not have to go to penalties.
Question put, That the Bill be now read the Third time.
The House divided:
Ayes 276, Noes 204.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (Aye)||Minority (No)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||230 (+1 tell)||0||0||75.5%|
|Lab||0||201 (+2 tell)||0||79.0%|
|LDem||44 (+1 tell)||0||0||78.9%|
