New Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme — 12 Nov 2012 at 22:13
George Osborne MP, Tatton did not vote.
The majority of MPs voted to approve a proposed compensation scheme for those who have suffered criminal injuries.
The motion approved by the majority of MPs was:
- That the draft Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme 2012, which was laid before this House on 2 July, be approved.
During a debate on the order it was suggested that the draft scheme amounted to a £50 million cut and that in the years leading up to the vote the scheme had a £200 million budget.
