John Baron MP, Basildon and Billericay voted against establishing an expert panel to advise the Secretary of State on the use of powers to regulate the energy markets.
The majority of MPs voted against establishing an expert panel to advise the Secretary of State on the use of powers to regulate the energy markets.
The full text of the proposed New Clause 5 rejected in the vote was:
- ‘Schedule [The Expert Panel] has effect.’.
The proposed schedule in question sought to establish an expert panel which the Secretary of State would be required to seek advice from in relation to using range of specified powers in relation to the regulation of the energy markets.
