Anna Soubry MP, Broxtowe voted against giving reservists an entitlement to two weeks additional unpaid leave from their employment, for paid training. This would apply if their company has over 50 employees.
The majority of MPs voted to give reservists an entitlement to two weeks statutory additional unpaid leave from their employment (where the company has more than 50 employees) for the purpose of reserve forces training, for which they shall receive their military pay and to provide access to an employment tribunal to enforce this
In this vote MPs voted to insert a new clause into the The Employment Rights Act 1996 which had the effect described above.
