Water Bill — New Clause 1 — Legislative Competence for Water in Wales — 6 Jan 2014 at 18:15

Anne Milton MP, Guildford voted with the majority (Teller for the Noes).

The majority of MPs voted against giving the National Assembly for Wales full powers in relation to water in Wales up to the English border.

The rejected motion, which was proposed by Hywel Williams MP (Plaid Cymru, Arfon)[1][2], read:

  • "The National Assembly for Wales shall have legislative competence for water up to the geographical boundary with England."

The motion was an attempt to amend the Water Bill 2013-14[2]
