John Baron MP, Basildon and Billericay did not vote.
The majority of MPs voted to require cigarette and tobacco packaging to be plain white or coloured Pantone 448C with only permitted text in a specified typeface, to restrict the size and shape of packets, and to set a minimum of 20 cigarettes per packet.
The motion supported by the majority of MPs in this vote was:
- That the draft Standardised Packaging of Tobacco Products Regulations 2015, which were laid before this House on 23 February, be approved.
