Oliver Letwin MP, West Dorset did not vote.
The majority of MPs voted to designate geological disposal facilities for radioactive waste as nationally significant infrastructure projects; and consequently for the Secretary of State to take decisions on planning applications for such facilities.
The motion approved by the majority of MPs taking part in this vote stated:
- That the draft Infrastructure Planning (Radioactive Waste Geological Disposal Facilities) Order 2015, which was laid before this House on 12 January, be approved.
