John Baron MP, Basildon and Billericay voted in favour of reducing the amount people are paid in tax credits.
MPs were considering the Welfare Reform and Work Bill.
The proposed new clause which was rejected in this vote was titled Repeal of Tax Credits Regulations 2015 and stated:
- (1) The Tax Credits (Income Thresholds and Determination of Rates) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 are repealed.
The regulations in question were approved by a majority of MPs in a vote on the 15th of September 2015 and are described fully within the description of that vote.
