Immigration Health Charge for Youth Mobility Scheme Applicants and Nationals of Australia and New Zealand — 9 Mar 2016 at 18:45

Guy Opperman MP, Hexham voted with the majority (Teller for the Ayes).

The majority of MPs voted to reduce the Immigration Health Charge levied on Youth Mobility Scheme applicants from £200 to £150 and to remove the exemption from Immigration Health charges for nationals of Australia and New Zealand.

The motion supported by the majority of MPs in this vote was:

The order requires an "Immigration Health Charge" of £150 to be paid by those applying for entry clearance as a Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme) Temporary Migrant, previously such applicants would have had to pay £200 under the: "All other applications for entry clearance or leave to remain" category.

The order removes the exemption from the immigration health charge available to nationals of Australia and New Zealand.

The draft order has now become the The Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2016
