This is the votes by vote definition of Public Whip policy #210: "The liberal-social league". You may want to read an introduction to policies, or read more about Public Whip.

Someone who believes that The liberal-social league supports human rights and civil liberties, opposes unnecessary censorship, opposes excessive political correctness (but takes a tough stance on genuine hatred/discrimination), Supports the NHS, wants to re-nationalise public transport, supports stem cell research, supports gay marriage, supports abortion (apart from very late abortions for non-medical reasons), supports legal recognition of living wills, opposed to bans on smoking in public places, Supports existing education system ( opposes baccalaureate based systems), anti-war but a defensive force and a small offensive force would remain: would only support war in the case of invasion of UK or after it has been agreed by UN), Supports trade with Europe (but opposes single currency!), more child-access rights for divorced fathers, supports licensed posession of single shot sports pistols (illegal since 1997) provided that the liscencing procedure is appropriate, believes that prisons should do more to reform the offender and supports the right of trial and Haebus corpus for terror suspects (but they [terror suspects] would legally be allowed to be held for up to 14 days without charges provided there is sufficient evidence), Strongly opposes ID cards, supports the lowering of the age limit to 16 for the purchase of alcoholic bevarages of 4% alcohol or less in places with a licsnce to serve alcohol for consumption on the premises, Supports removing any church-bias from UK government and making the UK a secular state, Make DVD region coding Illegal in UK ( all discs would have to be able to play on UK players), no liscences needed for public performance of music ( provided it does not cause undue noise/nuisance), Supports the immediate banning and public burning of all speed cameras, Supports an elected house of lords, Supports a significant reduction in TV liscence costs, Supports an immediate removal of restricted sunday opening hours in shops ( shops should be able to open whenever), Supports a maximum 6 day week for workers, more public holidays, supports reduction/abolition of the monarchy and the decriminalisation of possesion of CLass B&C drugs: However increased penalties for driving while under the influence of drugs, sale of controlled substances and the import of controlled substances, legalise prostitution but introduce a licesnsing scheme to prevent exploitation (this would prevent gangs forcing women into prostitution) and compulsory use of contraception and frequent STD checks, compulsory education up to the age of 16, Make the posession of knives in a public place only a criminal offence if there are no legal grounds for publically carrying knife ( for example a surgeon would be allowed to carry his tools in public however someone posessing a knife for the purposes of assault would b highly illegal) , posession of unlicensed firearms should carry a minimum 3 year sentence but if they are used to assault/ intimidate someone then the minimum sentence is incereased to 7 years, minuimumn age to purchase tobacco rasied to 18, reduce pollution, allow use of proportionate force for self defence, and make evidence obtained under torture ( in other countries) inadmissable in court. would have voted like this...
