Kosovo — 19 Apr 1999

Mr Bill Michie MP, Sheffield, Heeley voted with the majority (Teller for the Ayes).

[Relevant documents: Minutes of Evidence taken before the Foreign Affairs Committee on 14th April 1999 (HC 188-ii).]

Motion made, and Question proposed, That this House do now adjourn.-- [Mr. Kevin Hughes.]

Making peace requires as much courage as making war: that is the point that I should like to leave the House with. We should have the courage to start negotiations as the only hope of saving the plight of those people in Kosovo and, indeed, saving much more.

Question put, That the Question be now put:--

The House divided: Ayes 11, Noes 0.
