Orders of the Day — Greater London Authority Bill — 12 Dec 2006 at 21:43
Dominic Grieve MP, Beaconsfield voted in the minority (No).
I beg to move, That the Bill be now read a Second time.
The Bill is about backing London, one of the greatest cities in the world. It is about devolution from the Government to London and also about helping Londoners to get things done.
Question put, That the Bill be now read a Second time:-
The House divided: Ayes 320, Noes 151.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (Aye)||Minority (No)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||0||147 (+2 tell)||0||76.0%|
|Lab||293 (+2 tell)||0||0||83.8%|
