Housing and Regeneration Bill — Subsidy arrangements: formula and exclusions — 31 Mar 2008 at 20:45
The majority voted against including an extra condition for the Secretary of State when determining the formula for Calculation of Housing Revenue Account subsidy,[1] requiring him to take account of:
- the resources required properly to manage, maintain and repair houses and other properties within their respective Housing Revenue Accounts,
- research into these matters, and
- the resources required to enable respective authorities to acquire, rehabilitate and build new housing to be held within their Housing Revenue Accounts that contributes to meeting the need for affordable housing within their respective areas.[2]
This would have added a new clause into the Housing and Regeneration Bill.
