Constitutional Reform and Governance Bill — Civil Service annual report — rejected — 3 Nov 2009 at 22:00
Oliver Letwin MP, West Dorset did not vote.
The majority of MPs voted against adding a new clause to the Constitutional Reform and Governance Bill which read:
- The Minister for the Civil Service must publish and lay before Parliament an annual report on the functioning of the civil service of the state.
- Reports will also be laid before the Scottish Parliament by the First Minister for Scotland, and before the National Assembly for Wales by the First Minister for Wales
- Such a report must include details on the costs and numbers of civil servants by each government department and agency, and a comprehensive definition of the civil service of the state for that year.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (No)||Minority (Aye)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||0||138 (+2 tell)||0||72.5%|
