Patrick McLoughlin MP, Derbyshire Dales voted to cap civil service redundancy payments.
The majority of MPs voted to cap civil service redundancy payments at a maximum of 12 months’ pay for compulsory redundancy and 15 months’ for voluntary exits.
Technically the vote was on an amendment proposing leaving out clause one of the Superannuation Bill, the part titled:
- Limits on value of benefits provided under civil service compensation scheme
