International Development (Official Development Assistance Target) Bill — Move to a Vote on Third Reading — 5 Dec 2014 at 13:49
The majority of MPs voted to curtail debate and move to a vote on setting a target of spending 0.7% of national income on international aid.
MPs were considering the International Development (Official Development Assistance Target) Bill[1]. The Bill provides for a target of at least 0.7% of national income being spent on international aid and includes arrangements for evaluation of that aid spending.
This vote was on the motion:
-
That the Question be now put.
The question under consideration at the time was:
-
That the Bill be now read a Third time.
Support for the Bill at its third reading would enable it to continue on its path to becoming law.
