Nick Hurd MP, Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner voted to make it an offence to rent a home to someone who is disqualified as a result of their immigration status from occupying premises under a residential tenancy agreement.

  • Removes the extension of the right to rent legislation in the Bill.

"Right to rent" refers to landlords having to carry out a "right to rent" check of prospective tenants' immigration status.
