Overseas Operations (Service Personnel and Veterans) Bill — Third Reading — Presumption Against Prosecution — 3 Nov 2020 at 19:00
The majority of MPs voted to introduce a presumption against prosecution in respect of historical conduct by British armed services personnel on overseas operations, and to require the consent of the Attorney General (or Advocate General for Northern Ireland) in respect of such prosecutions relating to criminal allegations over five years old.
MPs were considering the Overseas Operations (Service Personnel And Veterans) Bill[1][2].
