High Speed Rail (London — West Midlands) Bill — New Clause 22 — Construction of an Integrated Euston Station — 23 Mar 2016 at 16:16

Guy Opperman MP, Hexham voted with the majority (Teller for the Noes).

The majority of MPs voted against requiring the body appointed to deliver High Speed 2 Rail to work to develop an Integrated Euston Station.

MPs were considering the High Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Bill[1].

The proposed new clause rejected in this vote was titled: Construction of an integrated Euston Station and began:

  • (1) The Secretary of State will require the nominated undertaker to take reasonable steps to develop integrated and comprehensive design and construction plans for Euston Station that include integration with other Euston Schemes.

The ‘nominated undertaker’, under the Bill, is the body appointed by the Secretary of State that is responsible for delivering the Proposed Scheme under the powers granted by the Bill
