Establishment of Somerset West and Taunton District Council — 23 May 2018 at 19:37
The majority of MPs voted to establish Somerset West and Taunton District Council as a single tier council and to abolish the West Somerset and Taunton Deane councils from 1 April 2019.
The motion supported by the majority of MPs taking part in the vote, and the majority of MPs representing constituencies in England, was:
- That the draft Somerset West and Taunton (Local Government Changes) Order 2018, which was laid before this House on 29 March, be approved.
