Queen's Speech — Prime Minister's Prorogative — 1 Dec 2004 at 18:59
Those voting Aye failed to add a sentence to the end of the motion (thanking the Queen for her speech) which read:
...but regret that the Gracious Speech contains no commitment to introduce legislation to clarify the responsibility of the Prime Minister to Parliament, particularly in relation to the prerogative powers and the role of Parliament in matters of war and peace; and call for a special Select Committee of the House to consider these matters.
