(1) The 1983 Act shall be amended as follows-

(b) in subsection (1)(d) of section 2 (local government electors), for "18" substitute "16".
(2) In paragraph 6(5) of Schedule 4 to the 2000 Act (absent voting in Great Britain), for "18" substitute "16"."
