Academies Bill — Academy Schools to Comply with Exclusion and Behaviour Legislation — rejected — 21 Jul 2010 at 22:05

The majority of MPs rejected a proposal to require Academy Schools to comply with legislation on pupil exclusions and behaviour partnerships which would otherwise not apply to them.

The text of the defeated amendment read:

  • page 2, line 8, at end insert-
  • (e) the school complies with provisions on pupil exclusions and behaviour partnerships as set out in EA 2002, EIA 2006 and ASCLA 2009.
