The majority of MPs rejected a proposal to require Academy Schools to comply with legislation on pupil exclusions and behaviour partnerships which would otherwise not apply to them.
The text of the defeated amendment read:
- page 2, line 8, at end insert-
- (e) the school complies with provisions on pupil exclusions and behaviour partnerships as set out in EA 2002, EIA 2006 and ASCLA 2009.
