The majority of MPs voted against a public register of charges, administration fees and relevant fund transaction costs applying to work based pension schemes.

MPs were considering the Pensions Bill[1]. The amendment rejected in this vote was:

  • Amendment to new clause 1: (a)

The rejected amendment[2] would have:

  • introduced a public register of charges, administration fees and relevant fund transaction costs applying to work based pension schemes.
  • required "charges" and "transaction costs", determining what would be required to be declared, be defined in regulations by the Secretary of State following a public consultation.
