The majority of MPs voted to permit the charging of fees under any Act arising from the Housing and Planning Bill. Such fees relate to the tenancy deposit information scheme and planning applications.

The motion supported by the majority of MPs in this vote was :

  • That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Housing and Planning Bill, it is expedient to authorise the charging of fees by virtue of the Act.
