The majority of MPs voted in favour of new regulations on petrol storage and transport, and on emergency preparedness relating to transport of radiological materials.

- That the draft Carriage of Dangerous Goods (Amendment) Regulations 2019, which were laid before this House on 20 December 2018, be approved.
The regulations:
- require vapour recovery systems to be fitted to certain road tankers, service stations and terminals to prevent the release of petrol fumes.
- seek to strengthen Great Britain’s emergency preparedness and response arrangements for transport of radiological materials.
