Extension of the Transition Period Following the UK Leaving the EU — 15 Jul 2020 at 18:45
The motion rejected by a majority of MPs in this vote was:
- That this House
- welcomes the European Union’s openness to extend the transition period for negotiations;
- calls on the Government to immediately accept this offer and notes the Scottish Government’s publication of 3rd June entitled, “COVID-19: The Case for Extending the Brexit Transition Period”, warning of the damage a no deal would cause to the economy in addition to the cost of the covid-19 health crisis.
Votes by party, red entries are votes against the majority for that party.
What is Tell? '+1 tell' means that in addition one member of that party was a teller for that division lobby.
What are Boths? An MP can vote both aye and no in the same division. The boths page explains this.
What is Turnout? This is measured against the total membership of the party at the time of the vote.
|Party||Majority (No)||Minority (Aye)||Both||Turnout|
|Con||318 (+2 tell)||0||0||87.9%|
