Localism Bill — New Clause 15 — Clarification Local Finance Considerations Can Be Taken Into Account When Determining Planning Application — 17 May 2011 at 22:00
The majority of MPs voted to clarify that government funding or taxes to be levied on a development can be taken into account when determining a planning application.
MPs were considering the Localism Bill[1] when they voted on the motion:
- That the clause be read a Second time.
The clause in question was New Clause 15[2] titled "Applications for planning permission: local finance considerations"; it clarified that local finance considerations can be taken into account when determining a planning application. Local finance considerations are defined in subclause 4 as including funds from central government and funds from a Community Infrastructure Levy.[3]
