European Union Referendum Bill — Clause 2 — Entitlement to Vote in the Referendum — Those Aged Sixteen and Seventeen — 8 Dec 2015 at 13:30
The majority of MPs taking part voted against allowing those aged sixteen and seventeen to vote in the referendum on the United Kingdom's membership of the European Union.

- That this House disagrees with Lords amendment 1.
Lords amendment 1 stated[2]:
- Page 2, line 7, at end insert "and persons who would be so entitled except for the fact that they will be aged 16 or 17 on the date on which the referendum is to be held".
This would have impacted clause 2[3] of the Bill which began:
- Those entitled to vote in the referendum are—
- (a) the persons who, on the date of the referendum, would be entitled to vote as electors at a parliamentary election in any constituency,
