A majority of MPs voted against Lords amendment 19 to the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill, which would have increased the allowable variation in the number of voters in each constituency to 7.5% of the norm, instead of the 5% proposed in the Bill.
This amendment is closely linked to Lords amendment 16.
