Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill — Second Reading — 12 May 2008 at 21:41
The majority of MPs voted to give the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill[1] a Second Reading,[2] which means it can now proceed to the next stage of Parliamentary scrutinization.[3]
According to the explanatory notes,[4] this law is primarily an update to Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990[5] to allow, among other things, further embryo research, and fertility treatment for same sex couples.
