Identity Cards Bill — Voluntary registration when applying for a passport — insisted — 6 Mar 2006 at 17:22
The majority of Lords voted to insist that the application for an ID Card being voluntary when applying for a designated document, such as a passport or drivers license.[1]
This was precisely the same amendment that appeared in the House of Commons.[2] It was overturned by a later vote in that place.[3]
