Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill — Change abortion limit from 24 weeks to 16 weeks — rejected — 20 May 2008 at 22:00

The majority of MPs voted against adding an new paragraph to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill to change the time limit for the legal termination of pregnancy from 24 weeks to 16 weeks.[1]

A preceding attempt to change the limit to 12 weeks had also failed.[2]
