18A: Clause 3, page 4, line 24, at end insert-“(9A) Within six months of this Act being passed, the Secretary of State must consult, and publish a report of that consultation, on proposals for a public interest defence in relation to an offence under subsection (2).”Member's explanatory statementThis amendment requires the government to formally consult on the introduction of a public interest defence for offences committed under Clause 3(2).
